Making A Difference
The Vermont Women’s Fund has invested more than $3 million over the last 20 years in programs that provide women and girls with the tools they need to lead strong, healthy, empowered lives.
Grants from the Women’s Fund help them move out of poverty, establish safe relationships, choose healthy behaviors, build communication skills, master non-traditional occupations, and strengthen their physical, emotional, intellectual, and financial well-being.
Research consistently shows that when women are afforded equality and opportunity, their economic achievements at both individual and community levels are striking. Studies show that when women hold assets or gain income, the money is more likely spent on nutrition, medicine, and housing, having a much wider impact on families and children.
