January invites a fresh start and renewed energy for the year ahead. At the Vermont Women’s Fund, this season also brings reflection on what makes our work so powerful, and what continues to move it forward. Time and again, we are reminded that our greatest strength is our community. Even as 2025 seemed to fly by, we continued to show up for one another with generosity, commitment, and shared purpose.
Power of Collective Philanthropy
At the heart of the Vermont Women’s Fund is the power of collective philanthropy: bringing resources together for greater impact. Last year, this collective commitment fueled our work elevating the women leaders who shape our communities and promoting economic security for families across Vermont. Highlights from the year include:
- Awarding $359,000 to 39 organizations, bringing our total grantmaking to over $5M and helping us reach over 125,000 women and girls since 2019.
- Welcoming 8 new council members and celebrating our growing community at VWF’s annual celebration in Burlington.
- Launching Women, Work, and Wages with our Change The Story partners—a powerful tool for understanding the economic realities facing women across our state.
Our grantees continue to thrive and inspire us. At last year’s Annual Celebration Axley from Habitat for Aviation, summed it up perfectly:
“We are the first girls in aviation history to be building an airplane. We are also building community, belonging, and family.”
This work doesn’t end with our annual grantmaking. The Vermont Women’s Fund serves as a statewide convener of leaders, nonprofits, and community members invested in our mission. In 2025, the Women’s Fund continued to expand our impact through a series of dynamic events across Vermont, including:
- A celebration of the power of women leaders in observance of International Women’s Day at Lawson’s Finest Liquids.
- A grantee & community convening in Killington, where nonprofit partners shared insights, built relationships, and explored new ways to collaborate for systemic change.
- A planned giving event at St. John’s in the Mountains, Stowe, that encouraged donors to align their financial legacy with feminist values and long-term community impact.
- A financial activism workshop with author Jasmine Rashid in White River Junction, tailored for women and business leaders, offering tools to foster greater intention in personal spending and financial investing.
- A call to action at our Annual Celebration with Reshma Saujani, founder of Girls Who Code and Moms First, author, and activist.
These moments spark meaningful conversations, strengthen connections, and plant the seeds for future partnerships. This is also about our supporting businesses. A sponsorship to the Vermont Women’s Fund speaks directly to your audiences, both internally and externally.
Standing With Us Is Standing Up for Women And For An Equitable, Diverse Vermont
Would you join us as a sponsor in 2026? Sponsorship commitments are requested by March 1, 2026, and include a range of recognition and engagement opportunities outlined in our sponsorship packet. A few examples of these types of benefits:
- Promotion and visibility at a series of events throughout the state spotlighting the Women, Work, and Wages Report
- Event tickets and recognition at VWF’s Annual Celebration in Burlington, reaching an audience of over 1,000+ guests and followers
- Promotion on VWF’s newsletter, social media channels, and website
- Co-branded internal communications and an annual impact report to share with your team
- Employee engagement opportunities
Our sponsor partners make it possible to build year after year on our grantmaking and program success. While need continues to grow, only 2% of total charitable giving in the U.S. currently goes to organizations supporting women and girls—making your leadership even more vital.
Thank you for your consideration and for all you do to help create a more equitable future.
