Vermont Women's Fund Annual Celebration 2022 Recap
The major highlight of the Vermont Women’s Fund Annual Celebration this year was seeing so many smiling faces of friends and colleagues after nearly three years apart. We appreciate everyone who attended in person – and welcome those who can watch the video on demand below.
Once again, our rock star emcee, Jane Lindholm, showcased her interviewing skills with our panel of entrepreneurs. Centered around our latest initiative, This Way UP: there’s power in our numbers highlighting the contribution of women business owners and entrepreneurs to Vermont’s economy. The conversation led by Jane felt like we were all sitting around her kitchen table – relaxed and real and yet fascinating and profoundly moving.
The most meaningful memories from this year’s celebration are those provided by our incredible line-up of Vermont entrepreneurs who shared their journey to business ownership. Special thanks to: Akshata Nayak, CEO and founder of Little Patakha, Alex Hilliard, Founder and CEO of VT AthletaFit, and Kerry O'Brien, Founder and CEO of Commando.
Finally, this celebration was made extra sweet by announcing the successful completion of the When Women Thrive campaign.
This multi-year, special fundraising campaign doubled our endowment from $3M to $6M!
This was no small feat and took place under the black cloud of COVID, in fact, much of it happened with very little fanfare. It took many, many hours from our endowment campaign committee, and many, many dollars given generously by a range of donors to make it a reality. Celebrating in person with so many of you who contributed to this success was THE BEST.
